Blåkläder produces its garments at factories closely linked to the company. Production in Vietnam was started in 1992, followed by Sri Lanka in 2006 and Myanmar in 2018.
Our close and long-term relationship with the factories is an integral part of our conscious sustainable production. This is a commitment we have made to ensure our garments are manufactured under the highest social, ethical, and environmental standards. It’s consistent not only with national and international conventions (UN and ILO) but also with quality and sustainability standards that are constantly checked and reviewed.
Our aim is to improve the socio-economic situation of the people we work with and the communities in which they live. Our relationships provide us within valuable access to and knowledge about conditions at the production units, further enabling us to fulfil our commitments.
We make every effort to ensure our garments are produced under conditions, that contribute to a more equitable future for the employees.
Also, we ensure that processes and procedures are in place to guarantee worker safety and ensure respect for human rights and the environment.
